MOSCOW — After sweeping back into office in a landslide victory, Vladimir Putin assured voters he doesn’t intend to rule Russia for life.
“What, am I going to sit here until I am 100 years old?” Putin told reporters in Moscow. “No,” came his answer.
But his assurance will be of little consolation to opposition figures and those hoping to see an alternative to his stranglehold on the Kremlin.
