Investigative journalists on Wednesday said they have identified the exact number and unit of the Russian anti-aircraft missile launcher suspected of shooting down a Malaysian Airlines plane over eastern Ukraine in 2014.
Moscow responded that it doesn’t have information on identification numbers of Russian weapons.
Bellingcat, the organization investigating the destruction of the MH17 flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17, 2014, said in a report that Buk missile launcher No. 332, filmed in the area hours before the airliner was downed, came from the 53rd Anti Aircraft Missile Brigade, based in Kursk, Russia.
