President Donald Trumpâs relationship with Russia is facing fresh scrutiny in the wake of reports that his attorney general, Jeff Sessions, failed to disclose two meetings he had last year with the countryâs ambassador while he was advising Trumpâs campaign.
The Justice Department maintains that Sessions held those meetings in his capacity as a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and not as a representative of the Trump campaign. And the White House has dismissed the reports as an âattack by partisan Democrats.â
