European Council President Donald Tusk delivered a rhetorical beat-down of U.S. President Donald Trump at the United Nations on Thursday, forcefully rebutting the American president’s speech endorsing nationalism and patriotism as the key to a better future.
Tusk also seemed to take a sharp, if subtle, dig at Trump’s impeachment mess, by specifically referencing Ukraine in declaring: “To protect the rule of law, you really have to accept that law should be above power, not at its beck and call.”
