LONDON — The U.K. is already having “constructive discussions†about nuclear cooperation agreements with countries outside the EU ahead of plans to leave the body that governs civil nuclear power in the bloc, a government minister told MPs in the House of Commons Wednesday.
MPs from both the Conservative and Labour parties raised concerns during a debate that withdrawing from the European Atomic Energy Community, or Euratom, could disrupt investment in new nuclear power plants, nuclear fuel supply, safeguard inspections and research and innovation funding in the country.
