Does this woman have to die before the West confronts Putin?


Two years ago, Canadian news broadcasts were saturated with vivid images of the Euromaidan “Revolution of Dignity” — student protesters by the hundreds of thousands, occupying downtown Kyiv and paralyzing the political processes of their government. Their demands were simple: democratic reform, an end to corruption and European integration.
Those events — arguably the one and only successful ‘Occupy’ movement — did succeed in fulfilling their immediate objective: A corrupt government, beholden to business tycoons and an autocratic neighbour, was toppled.
