BERLIN (AP) — German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been named Time magazine’s Person of the Year, just a few weeks after she marked 10 years at the helm of Europe’s biggest economic power. Merkel, 61, is the European Union’s longest-serving head of government and has been a serial winner of Forbes magazine’s title of world’s most powerful woman.
