LONDON (AP) — Associated Press journalist Mstyslav Chernov has been named camera operator of the year at the Royal Television Society awards in London.
Chernov, based in Ukraine, has covered the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, the aftermath of the deadly terror attacks in Paris in November and Europe’s refugee crisis. He picked up Wednesday’s prize after being honored at last year’s awards in the young talent of the year category.
