MINSK, Belarus (AP) — Representatives of Russia and Ukraine have pledged to make a new effort to enforce a shaky cease-fire in eastern Ukraine and exchange prisoners.
OSCE envoy Martin Sajdik says the parties agreed to make a new attempt to fully halt fighting between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russia rebels. He spoke after Wednesday’s meeting in the Belarusian capital Minsk of the Trilateral Contact Group, which is negotiating a settlement to the conflict that has killed more than 9,000 people since April 2014.
