KIEV, Ukraine — U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop fomenting the war in eastern Ukraine, and to work with all warring parties to fully enforce a ceasefire deal reached in February, which has existed in name only.
“President Obama reiterated the need for Russia to fulfill its commitments under the Minsk agreements, including the removal of all Russian troops and equipment from Ukrainian territory,” the White House said in a statement.
