The Swedish Transport Authority warned travellers not to use the Iraqi Airways after suspending its license to enter its airports for “not meeting safety demands,” Alkhaleejonline.net reported on Friday.
Director of the Swedish Transport Authority Simon Boslok said in a statement: “The Iraqi Airways has not been meeting the safety standards, which are demanded by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), for a long time.”
Boslok also added that the license of the Iraqi Airways would be reactivated when it meets the required safety standards. The authority insisted that travellers to Sweden should use other alternatives.
