Here’s a quick solution to Canada’s need for more naval vessels, which has run aground on the usual procurement problems: France has two brand new, state of the art warships on its hands and is looking for a buyer. The two ships, Mistral-class helicopter carriers, were ordered by Russia but not delivered after Europe got tough on Moscow over its activities in Ukraine.
