YAVORIV, Ukraine — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s whirlwind five-day visit to Eastern Europe ended Tuesday amid the staccato bursts of assault weapons and heavy machine guns and the thwack and smoke from an explosion as Ukrainian troops accompanied by Canadian mentors from Quebec’s storied Royal 22nd Regiment — the Vandoos — charged across a field to swarm a makeshift house.
