Ukraine has not yet demanded the extradition of Georgi Bliznakov, a Bulgarian national from authorities in Sofia, Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov said on Tuesday afternoon.
On Monday, private broadcaster bTV reported that Kiev would seek the extradition of Georgi Bliznakov on the grounds of alleged “illegal crossing of Ukraine’s border, participation in illegal armed formations and taking part in a war against Ukraine”.
Bliznakov was involved last week in the beating of a car driver on Sofia Ring Mall, with video footage, presumably made by the victim’s wife, showing the incident.
