Fire Sets Ablaze Forest Near Chernobyl Nuclear Plant


A big forest fire has started around the zone around the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A high state of emergency has been issued in Ukraine on account of the incident as reported by RT daily.
In the words of Ukraine’s Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, the fire is moving towards the nuclear power plant. He further announced that the country’s Prime Minister has called an emergency commission on the case.
Approximately 400 hectars of the forest were set on fire.
