In a letter addressed to Boyko Borisov, US President Barack Obama congratulated him on being re-elected for his second term as Prime Minister of Bulgaria.
Obama said he was looking forward to continuing his work with Borisov and to deepening the bilateral relationship between Bulgaria and the US, according to the press office of the Bulgarian government.
The US President stated that at a time of numerous regional and global challenges, the USA could rely on Bulgaria to act as an ally and friend in the process of moving forward the two countries’ common Euro-Atlantic goals.
