Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will submit his resignation to the country’s parliament next week.
Yatsenyuk made this announcement on TV on Sunday, saying that his resignation will be tabled to parliament on Tuesday.
Yatsenyuk blamed the failure of politicians to “enact real changes”.
He has served as prime minister of Ukraine since the overthrow of the former pro-Russian president Viktor Yanukovych in February 2014.
In February this year, incumbent Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had called on Yatsenyuk to step down for having lost support.
