President Barack Obama met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday on the sidelines of the climate talks in Paris, their second such meeting in a month, discussing the fraught ongoing situations in Ukraine, Syria and the Middle East as a whole.
According to a pool report citing a White House official, Obama expressed regret for the deaths of a Russian pilot and crew member after their plane was shot down last week after Turkey said they crossed into its airspace.
