Ukrainian Ambassador Andriy Shevchenko says Ukraine’s newly minted free-trade agreement with Canada gives his country a lot of credibility as a would-be trader with other nations. And, he said, it offers exciting opportunities for Canadian companies.
“It tells the world that you can come to Ukraine and do business,” he said.
Canada will eliminate 99 per cent of its tariffs immediately, while Ukraine will eliminate 86 per cent right away, with a plan to eliminate the rest over the next seven years.
