Canadian troops from Garrison Petawawa, and other military installations, who are in Ukraine on Operation Unifier should be back home by mid-January.
Up to 200 Canadian Forces personnel are in Ukraine as part of the training mission that is to run until early 2017.
Lt.-Col. Jason Guiney, commander of the training task force, told Defence Watch that on Monday the second rotation of personnel will arrive from Valcartier, Quebec.
“Our replacements from 5 Brigade in Valcartier start arriving on Monday,” said Guiney, commander of JTF-U. “I hand over to Lt.-Col. Tim Arsenault, the new task force commander, on the 17th of January.”
