U.S. President Donald Trump will be attending the NATO summit which will be held at the alliance’s headquarters in late May.
Trump is well known for his views that NATO is “obsolete.”
The White House says that Trump spoke with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Sunday. The two talked about “how to encourage all NATO allies to meet their defense spending commitments,” the White House noted. Finding a peaceful resolution to the fighting in Ukraine was also discussed.
