A U.S. guided missile destroyer and a French signals intelligence ship have left Black Sea, the USNI reports. It cites U.S. Navy officials and local press reports.
As Defence Watch readers know, warship from countries without a coast on the Black Sea operate under the Montreux Convention Regarding the Regime of the Straits. That convention only allows foreign warships a 21-day stay in the Black Sea.
HMCS Toronto still remains in the Black Sea (it originally went there as part of exercise Sea Breeze). As well there is a Spanish missile frigate and a French frigate.
