Pope Francis has called for peace in Ukraine, Nigeria, Libya, South Sudan and other parts of Africa.
In a Christmas message he condemned violence in the Middle East and urged dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians.
He also expressed anguish over recent terrorist attack on school in Pakistan in which many innocent students were martyred.
