Much has been written of late about the Trump Administration’s decision to move 9,500 U.S. troops out of Germany and its impact on deteriorating Transatlantic relations. To be sure, the move and the personality clashes among key leaders in NATO that it has brought to the surface have played a part in fueling the current turmoil.
