2015 likely to exceed all previous records for global forced displacement
The number of people living in Bangladesh in a “refugee-like situation” now stands at 200,000, who are originating from Myanmar, said a new study of UNHCR released on Friday.
However, the government of Bangladesh estimates the population to be between 300,000 and 500,000, added the report titled “Mid-Year Trends 2015”.
The report also mentioned that the number of refugees in Bangladesh is now 32,975 who are assisted by the UNHCR.
