DHAKA: Mohammad Fahad Rahman, the chess prodigy Fide Master of Bangladesh, emerged champions in 14th Dubai Juniors Chess tournament on Monday in Dubai Chess and Culture Club, reports BSS.
He also became richer with two thousand US dollar as first prize, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Hamdan Al Maktoum Cup’ and a gold medal and accumulated 8 points from the possible 9.
In last round Fahad beat CM Al Hosani Omran of the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier, on Monday in 8th round Fahad (Rating-2157) drew with 2390 rated top seeded player in the event FM Matviisshen Victor of Ukraine.
