A number of Malaysian celebrities and social activists have taken to social media to express their feelings and reactions to the MH17 crash.
Malaysia Airlines revealed that the Ukrainian aviation authorities lost contact with MH17 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The plane left Amsterdam and was headed for Kuala Lumpur.
Later, Ukraine authorities confirmed that the Malaysian Airlines flight was shot down when flying over Ukraine on Thursday, July 17.
