Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 could have been shot down by another aircraft, according to a report, and Dutch prosecutors have said Monday they’re open to the idea.
However, the Dutch officials think the plane was most likely shot down by a ground-to-air missile in Ukraine.
“Based on the information available, a shooting-down by a ground-to-air missile is the most likely scenario, but we aren’t closing our eyes to the possibility that it could have happened differently,” prosecutor Fred Westerbeke told Der Spiegel, via Reuters.
