Central Asia pays the price for Russia’s tumbling ruble


Sharp decline in the value of Russian currency is hitting Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistans economies hard. At her local bazaar in Kyrgyzstans capital, Bishkek, the price for beef has jumped nine per cent in the last six weeks. She is not alone in feeling the pain of rising inflation.
