A CNN freelance journalist has been detained in eastern Ukraine since Tuesday after he was abducted by pro-Russian separatists, the network reported Thursday.
Anton Skiba was taken from outside his hotel in Donetsk after a day of covering the MH17 crash site for the network. CNN said Thursday that it chose not to report the incident when it first occurred due to safety measures.
