MOSCOW — On Sept. 18, the Russian Federation held elections for the seventh session of the lower house of parliament. The political body, known as the State Duma, will now consist of only four political parties and will be dominated by the current government’s party, United Russia, despite a noticeably declining standard of living across the country and the implementation of sanctions.
