Ladies and gentlemen,
In just a few days, we will say farewell to 2014 and greet the new year. From my standpoint, this year may be recorded as one of the most eventful years in the post-Cold War era, fraught with difficulties – Syria; Iraq and ISIL, Israel and Palestine; Iran; Afghanistan; Ukraine; and the Ebola outbreak, just to name a few.
