“The rupiah rebounded after
experiencing some corrections over the past few days due to technical
factors,” Bank Himpunan Saudara analyst Rully Nova said in Jakarta
on Friday as quoted by Antara news agency.
He said that investors conducted short-term
transactions in the domestic market during the closing session, thereby creating
fluctuations of the rupiah.
“As we haven’t seen enough
sentiment from the domestic market regarding the plan to increase subsidized
fuel prices, the players are doing quick transactions,” he said.
He said, however, that the rupiah could
depreciate next week.
