ELMAU, Germany — EU leaders on Sunday welcomed signals from President Barack Obama that climate change would be a critical issue at the G7 summit.
European Council President Donald Tusk said it would be essential for the G7 to take a united front ahead of a UN climate change conference in Paris in December.
“We can’t be alone, it’s completely useless,” Tusk said. “This cannot be just a contest between EU countries.”
