Ukrainian authorities say at least seven people were killed in the eastern city of Donetsk after an artillery shell hit a city bus.
Emergency officials said a shell struck a trolley bus early Thursday, killing the passengers instantly.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military authorities say troops have withdrawn from the Donetsk airport, which has been the focus of a struggle for territory between soldiers and pro-Russian separatists for months.
The airport lies on the northern edge of the territory controlled by rebel fighters.
