Poland ranked 30th in a report on the government transparency level published by Transparency International, thus it recorded a five spot advance compared with the previous edition. Denmark came in first among 168 countries included in the analysis.
When it comes to the CEE region, only Estonia performed better than Poland (23rd place). The others, except for Belarus (107th) and Ukraine (130th) were also ranked quite high – Lithuania (32nd), the Czech Republic (37th), Slovakia and Hungary (both 50th).
Such countries as Sudan, Afghanistan, North Korea and Somalia were listed at the bottom of the ranking.
